Frozen at Thirty

Turned thirty last weekend! Yes, I'm no longer in my late 20s, I've now entered the age that starts with a 3. Then I'll be in early 30s, 30 something, mid 30s then late 30s... waaaaaaah! Heehee! Chos lang yon! I'm not afraid of aging.  At all. Well except for the growing lines around my eyes! *Must always remember to put eye cream*
Must also remember to put on donya shades!
We celebrated our birthday early this year  with a beach trip to Batangas. It was short and sweet. Medyo bitin so we're planning more trips to beach this summer!
We stayed in Acuaverde, got a coupon from Deal Grocer. I will blog more about Acuaverde in a separate entry.
Birthdays aren't as big deal as it was before. Spending it with my family is enough. I could never ask for anything more. I asked for two kids by the time I'm thirty. A loving husband who supports me in everything that I do. I truly am blessed.
Fun in the sand! It's both their first time in a beach!

But since I was turning 30 this year, feeling ko milestone talaga ang turning 30 ko. I decided to get a great big cake for myself, well more for the kids to enjoy actually. I ordered a Frozen themed cake from Tazzy Cakes. I figured Y loves it so much now, and her birthday is not for another six months, baka hindi na niya favorite ang Frozen, kaya ayan!

I initially wanted Elsa and Olaf only but Cat said isama ko naman daw si Anna. Heehee! Buti na lang sinama ko! The cake was red velvet. Super yummy! I am having it as I am typing this. Midnight snack teh! Thank you Cat! Til our nexy cake!

Raizo Turns 1: Tazzy Cakes

Ok, 4 months later I'm still not yet done with R's party suppliers! Let's do this!

 I was already set on having Raizo's cake to be made by Tazzy Cakes. I wrote about my niece's cake which is also made by Tazzy Cakes here. It was so pretty that I'm sure R's cake will also be as fab!
Catz, the owner and mother baker of Tazzy Cakes is super easy to transact with. I gave her my budget and some pegs and our invitation. Not necessarily copy the pegs but to serve as inspiration for the cake.

It was really hard to look for robot cake theme inspiration on the net. I initially wanted robot cake, a standing/sitting robot cake but Catz said the cake won't hold. Baka hindi din abot budget ko, ambisyosang frog lang hihi!

And so the week before R's party, Catz called to confirm the colors of my theme and if it's possible na surprise na lang daw ang design ng cake. Of course I said YES! You can never go wrong with Tazzy Cakes! Wala pa ata akong naririnig na bad feedback from anyone who had their cakes made by Catz!

So on the day of the party, I was excited to see what Catz did. And here's the cake!!!

I also had cupcakes made. Forgot how many I ordered. 24 cupcakes I think. But for the budget I've provided, it's super sulit! Her chocolate cake and cupcakes are super yummy! Seriously! My sister asked for four cupcakes, one of each color.

Thank you again Catz for the cake! It was a super easy and smooth transaction! I highly recommend her to every mom! You won't be disappointed!

A&D Loves: Tazzy Cakes (A Fairy Theme Birthday Cake)

Two Sundays ago, my little niece A celebrated her 1st birthday. My assignment was the cake and the giveaways. So I made it a point that my sister will like the cake! And she did!

 I've been hearing a lot about Tazzy Cakes. I've seen cakes done by Cat (owner of Tazzy Cakes) and they were really good so I was excited when achi said to find her a good baker. This was the perfect time to try Tazzy Cakes!

 A's birthday theme is fairies. And my sister already had a peg for the cake. I emailed Cat two months before the date and I showed Cat the photo below plus achi wanted it to be Cath Kidson-esque.

There's no downpayment, she does by honesty policy. :) After a week or so, She emailed a sketch of the cake which I emailed to my achi for approval. We had minor changes and we just waited until the day of the party to see the cake!

Ok, before I show you the cake. Can I just say that I love her and the cake! I actually booked her na for my R's birthday in June. #pangsuspenselang

Everyone loved the cake! :) I'm happy they did. Even my shobe wanted to get her for her 2nd baby's birthday which she haven't even given birth yet to! They're that impressed! Can't wait til R's birthday party!
