Of Birthdays and Baby Showers

January was a busy month, yes busier than December, can you imagine that? I had to postpone something to April because everyone was busy! Heehee! And I actually only noticed that a lot of my friends celebrated their birthday on January. Hindi ko yon napapansin! Two of the SoMoms celebrated two of my favorite events/celebrations, a baby shower and a (surprise) birthday party!

Chessy of Young Mom Love is pregnant (and has given birth already! Congrats Bry and Chessy!) with her second child and it's a girl! We were all so happy for her because her firstborn is a boy, Z, and now she has one of each! She had her baby shower last month at their home and the theme was "Guess How Much I Love You", the popular children's book!
Loved the styling! Yes that's R claiming the chair as his own. Hihi!
Dessert buffet: we loved the cake pops! And my kids enjoyed the ice gems and marshmallows! Hihi!
Wrote a note for Brianna too!
There was a bunny pen and kids get to feed them! Hindi na sila umalis dyan.
There were games, I lost this one but I won Php500 Red Ribbon GCs because I guessed how big Chessy's tummy is!
Yay for Y's baon!
Thank you Chessy for inviting us!

Surprise parties are one the most fun, exciting yet stressful party to plan and execute and we were able to surprise Kris! We all communicated thru FB Messenger, Kris thought we're having a food tasting at Maximo when in reality she was planning her own party hahaha! But the plan worked! Eli picked her up in their house, made drama in the car, drove slower than usual, made deliberate wrong turns just to stall while we wait for everyone to arrive at Maximo.
This is ground floor dining area. There's a 2nd floor where we had the party, you can also have your private parties or functions here too.
Decor were brought home all the way from Canada!
Food was setup buffet style! This was taken towards the end of the part na hence the almost empty chaffing dishes! Hehe!
Surprise success!

Right after Kris arrived, it was time to eat! Our table ordered Beef Rendang ala carte because we heard it was good and we wanted to try it!
This was so good! Mushroom Chicharon + Cilantro Aioli Dip!
Beef Rendang, rice pa more!
Clockwise: Pasta, Baked Iberian Chicken, Slow Roasted Beef Belly, and Maximo Salad
The Titas of Manila taking photos of the Beef Rendang. The fun was at this Noisy Table. Ahihihi!
May pa-games pa! Suzie Abrera and Eli hosted the games! Our table hoarded the prizes! Competitive!
Happy Birthday Kris! Online turned offline and real life friends. I'm glad to have these ladies in my life.

I look forward to celebrating more birthdays, baby showers, children's party and fun get togethers with these mommies! Love you girls!

Justice League Invades Shakey's!

Superheroes are such a great hit with kids today! Although I'm not an expert when it comes to superheroes, I watch a lot of The Big Bang Theory and they talk a lot about Green Lantern, Flash, and the other Justice League characters. And so I started introducing superheroes to Y and R but I know a lot of kids love Justice League! My brother, although is not a kid anymore, loves Superman! And what delight it would be if kids can celebrate their birthdays with their favorite superheroes!
Our family's favorite pizza place, Shakey's, is making this possible! Shakey's now offers the Justice League Unlimited party package, inclusive of signature dishes, activities, and even props! We had R's first birthday party at Shakey's Quezon Ave and we were all happy how it turned out! Check out R's first birthday party here!

As for the food, you can pick from any of the food packages on Justice League Unlimited!

You can never go wrong with anything from Shakey's! The thin crust pizza is good, the mojos are always a hit, and I love love their chicken!!!

Book your birthdays now! Or why not have your Christmas get together or party here? Right?

TIP: Book a Shakey's with a Fun Zone inside! It's one of the reasons why we booked our venue.
For more information, you can go to their website https://www.shakeyspizza.ph/ and follow and like Shakey's social media accounts and get updated!

Birthday Play At Kidzville, SM Aura

My kids loved Kidzville at The Podium, we spent R's birthday there. Y's been bugging me to go back and before Y's birthday, I found out that Kidzville opened another branch in SM Aura and decided to take the kids there.
It was still on soft opening when we went on Y's birthday.
It was a Saturday so it was pretty packed!
Kidzville Aura has a different theme than the one in Podium. It has that futuristic, cosmic theme going on.
The kids loved that boat on the bottom right photo where you can play with rubber duckies!

I don't have any idea how yaya and R were able to go way up there! Haha!
Y was a bit scared with this room upstairs. You can play pretend crazy doctors here hehe!

You can play pretend fireman and put out fire too!

Or play construction workers. Oh how fun!

Although my kids enjoyed their time in Kidzville Aura, I think my kids like the one in Podium more. It's more toddler-friendly, bigger space, there's the big slides plus us adults can move freely. I had a hard time going up the tree going to the small slide. Bigger kids will get to enjoy this Kidzville Aura.

Check Kidzville Aura and bring your kids and enjoy the fun! Here's the rates:

Y's 4th Birthday In School: The Bento Mommas, Dome DIYs, and More!

Y celebrated her 4th birthday in school this year. It was her first birthday in school! And it was extra special because she shares the same birthday with one of her best friends in school, MK.

Her mom and I was talking one day about birthdays in school:
Me: "Kelan birthday ni MK?"
J: "September"
Me: "September din si Y!"
J: "Talaga? Anong date?"
Me: "6:
J: "6 din ni MK!"
Me: "O, sabay na tayo mag celebrate dito sa school!"

We decided to have Hi-5 as the theme so it can be both for boys and girls. I pitched the Hi-5 bento boxes because I really wanted Kaye of The Bento Mommmas to do Y's birthday! J was ok with it so yay!
Check @thebentomommas in Instagram too!

For the giveaways, I saw this PHP10 clapper in a stall in Puregold which reminds of the souvenir we got from the Hi-5 show last year. I made the Hi-5 logo by hand and took me two weeks to finish with the help of the BOS and here's our final product!
Clockwise: Made a fan and a pinwheel for cake toppers; Hi-5 logos made out of specialty paper, traced , cut, and paste; and the PHP10 clappers from Puregold and Paper Chic Studio favor bags!

We celebrated their birthday in school a day before their actual birthday. We can only do their "party" during their 30-minute recess! Her classmates sang her Happy Birthday, blew the cake, picture taking with her classmates then ate their bento boxes!
Red Ribbon Cake with my DIY cake toppers!
Spaghetti (Super yummy! Thanks for the extra, Kaye!), Hi-5 Bread Deco, Nugges and a Jupjup Sugar Cookie!

Happy 4th Birthday!

I also ordered a Hi-5 Headband for Y to wear to school that day, Princess Sophia headband as gift to MK from M + K = a! Plus Frozen clippies for Y!
Handmade by Tita Em!
Clippies for my little girl!! Thank Tita Em for the Sophia clippy!

The teachers gave away the clappers during dismissal time. I was so happy that everyone was happy with the giveaway!

Can't believe she's 4 na! :( Happy Birthday again my loves!
