A Merry SM Christmas With Hi-5!

Last month, we got the chance to watch and had a meet and greet with Hi-5 at SM Megamall's Rainbow Factory launch as a part of SM's #MerrySMChristmas!
It was R's first time to watch Hi-5 live! The last time we watched Disney Live in MOA Arena, R was a bit difficult and uncooperative. I didn't expect anything less this time. Haha! But I took him anyway.
We braved the EDSA traffic on a Friday. We were stuck for 2 hours but we still made on time! The 4pm show was still ongoing and we were able to have a peek. R was clapping along and excited. We had a quick bite at Bubble Tea with Mish and family before lining up to be seated!
Super traffic grabe! At least the kids were able to nap.
And true enough, R gave me a hard time hihi. He went crawling under people's seat, went up the stage and didn't like to come down. Stress! We waited for an hour or so before the show started and R was getting restless and bored. Terrible two's at its peak!
He wanted to go up the stage and run around!
Look at that naughty face.
Can you spell S-T-R-E-S-S! And he was doing this when people started pouring in na.
Buti na lang cute ka!
The show started with Steven Tan, SVP of SM Supermalls, giving an opening speech. Then the official "opening" of the Rainbow Factory lead by Steven Tan, Ian Mathay of SM Megamalls with the help of some celebrity families!
Another wonderful project of SM Supermalls and SM Cares this season of Christmas is their Bears of Joy program. Just purchase a pair of bears for only Php200, you get to keep one and the other one will be given to SM Mall's chosen charity. Just go to the nearest SM Supermall!
Then the beloved Hi-5 came out na and performed! Kids (and parents) went wild! I have to admit I know most of the songs and I was singing along more than Y haha! Y loved every minute of it. She was dancing and imitating their dance moves. While R was tulala haha!
1, 2, 3, 4... Hi-5!
And the best part of the day was the Meet and Greet! It was our second time to meet Hi-5. First time was December last year so it was really a treat to meet them again and have a another photo with them but now with R na!
Thank you again SM Megamall and Hi-5!
Hi-5 is coming back this December for a series of shows at Resort's World! Watch them perform and buy your kids Hi-5 merchandises like the ones below!
That Loliboli dress is so cute!!!
Y loved her wings, it came with us to Tagaytay haha!
Buy your tickets now (if it's not sold out yet)! It's sulit promise!

Y's 4th Birthday In School: The Bento Mommas, Dome DIYs, and More!

Y celebrated her 4th birthday in school this year. It was her first birthday in school! And it was extra special because she shares the same birthday with one of her best friends in school, MK.

Her mom and I was talking one day about birthdays in school:
Me: "Kelan birthday ni MK?"
J: "September"
Me: "September din si Y!"
J: "Talaga? Anong date?"
Me: "6:
J: "6 din ni MK!"
Me: "O, sabay na tayo mag celebrate dito sa school!"

We decided to have Hi-5 as the theme so it can be both for boys and girls. I pitched the Hi-5 bento boxes because I really wanted Kaye of The Bento Mommmas to do Y's birthday! J was ok with it so yay!
Check @thebentomommas in Instagram too!

For the giveaways, I saw this PHP10 clapper in a stall in Puregold which reminds of the souvenir we got from the Hi-5 show last year. I made the Hi-5 logo by hand and took me two weeks to finish with the help of the BOS and here's our final product!
Clockwise: Made a fan and a pinwheel for cake toppers; Hi-5 logos made out of specialty paper, traced , cut, and paste; and the PHP10 clappers from Puregold and Paper Chic Studio favor bags!

We celebrated their birthday in school a day before their actual birthday. We can only do their "party" during their 30-minute recess! Her classmates sang her Happy Birthday, blew the cake, picture taking with her classmates then ate their bento boxes!
Red Ribbon Cake with my DIY cake toppers!
Spaghetti (Super yummy! Thanks for the extra, Kaye!), Hi-5 Bread Deco, Nugges and a Jupjup Sugar Cookie!

Happy 4th Birthday!

I also ordered a Hi-5 Headband for Y to wear to school that day, Princess Sophia headband as gift to MK from M + K = a! Plus Frozen clippies for Y!
Handmade by Tita Em!
Clippies for my little girl!! Thank Tita Em for the Sophia clippy!
Follow and like!

The teachers gave away the clappers during dismissal time. I was so happy that everyone was happy with the giveaway!

Can't believe she's 4 na! :( Happy Birthday again my loves!

Hi-5 Alive!

December was a busy month because of the series of bazaars we joined. I don't know if we'll do it again this year! Since I knew it would be hard to spend family and quality time with the kids, I planned our quality time on weekdays when bazaars aren't that busy, hence watching the Barbie Musical and Hi-5!

When I knew about Hi-5 coming again to Manila, I hurriedly logged online and booked our tickets. Hi-5 now have three new members. Actually two pala, kasi when we watched last 2012, Dayen was already "new". Labo. Haha! Y enjoyed the first time we watched so I knew Y would love to watched it again. The first time was at SM MOA, last year was at the Samsung Hall of SM Aura. Not the best venue.

Anyways, we had our ingress first in Rockwell then we left BOS there and we went to SM Aura just in time for the show. Ang daming tao! And people were going crazy with the souvenir merchandises at isa na ako dun!
Hi-5 clapper for Php350! We also bought a backpack and a pillow. Plus a meet and greet. Can you spell BANKRUPT?

After buying the clapper, we lined up to get ready to go inside. Y got super excited when she heard Hi-5 songs playing in the background. I was also excited because she was excited haha. Nothing makes me happier than see her happy!
What I love about the show is that all the songs they sang the old songs. Each of the new members had their own solo song part.
It was a great show! Y enjoyed it and watches the videos I took over and over again. We also got to meet Hi%! Ako ang excited! Thank you Hi-5 for coming again to the Manila.

A&D Eats: Lugang Cafe, Mall of Asia

After watching Hi-5 last Saturday, we had dinner at Lugang Cafe. This wasn't our first time to eat at Lugang, so we already knew what to order! Ito nanaman kami, takaw tingin but we finished everything we ordered hahaha!
But first, here's something about Lugang:
Lugang Café, the latest incarnation brought to you by the famed Bellagio Group of Restaurants, Shanghai & Beijing, is the epitome of elegance and style. Being the first branch outside China, Lugang Café is already taking the culinary world by storm, having already garnered nationwide recognition such as the highly prestigious Philippine Tatler's 100 Best Restaurant Awards.
Eight, world-class, Chinese chefs, all aimed to provide an outstanding dining experience, prepare our sumptuous array of the very best dishes that Taiwan has to offer. Breaking free from the conventional look of a Chinese restaurant, Lugang Café sets itself apart from the rest with its modern interiors, and aesthetic design.
Our mission is to provide our guests with an exceptional dining experience by offering authentic Taiwanese cuisine from the freshest ingredients, served to you by our professional, well-developed staff. We guarantee only the best for our customers.
Our aim is to be the pioneer contemporary Taiwanese cuisine in the Philippines, and to open a chain of restaurants so that we may provide continuous employment and economic growth-the vision that we are in the forefronts of achieving.
Lugang Café is what every contemporary restaurants aim to be, chic and stylish with great service and food to die for, it's definitely a must try destination!

One of the things that I love about Lugang that it's a kid-friendly restaurant! It may look like a soshal and chic place but when they see you with kids, they immediately give the kids their own place mat, plate, bowl, cup and utensils! All from IKEA hehe.  Here's Y hamming it up!

Here's what we ordered:
Garlic Pork Roll
Steamed Pork Xiao Long Bao
Chicken Topped with Scallion Ginger Oil (My fave!)
Hainanese Rice to go with the chicken
String Beans with Salted Egg
For Y: Wonton Soup and Noodles
For dessert: Steamed Taro Xiao Long Bao (which I ate 7 of 8 hehe)
For drinks I had the Tapioca Bubble Milk Tea. Hubby had the Mango with Sago and Coconut Cream (no photo)
Shoti!
We had a very filling and satisfying dinner. Though their price is a bit steep, their food is really worth a try. With the variety of food they offer, we had a hard time choosing! I think the table beside us was shocked by the amount of food we ordered haha!
