Disney The Lion Guard: Return of the Roar!

Who here knows Simba, Nala, Timon, Pumbaa or Scar? Yes! They're from The Lion King! My kids have watched the movie several times on Disney Channel and the kids have also watched the The Liong King 2: Simba's Pride and The Lion King 3: Hakuna Matata, we have the VCDs (yes, VCD pa haha!) here at home. Now the story continues with "The Lion King: Return of the Roar", a TV movie that premiered last March 20 on Disney Channel in Southeast Asia!
The movie follows Kion, the second son of Simba and Nala. He assumes the role of leader of The Lion Guard, a team of animals tasked with preserving the Pride Lands. The movie leads to a TV series, The Lion Guard, which will premier on April 17 at 8:30AM on Disney Channel!

Last Friday, we were invited to a special screening of the Lion Guard at Toby's Estate at Whitespace!
It was a hot hot day but they were happy to be out and about!
The kids were given coloring sheets while waiting and some Bucky's and coffee for the mommas!
Babycino for Y and Gilbratar for me!

They showed three episodes of The Lion Guard series. Y was glued to the screen while R was making gulo everyone. Boys! Haha! Sorry sa mga na-istorbo niya!
The Lion Guard continues the tradition and music from 1994's award-winning Disney classic The Lion King. It follows the Kion as he assembles the members of the Lion Guard.
The Lion Guard usually comprises of the bravest and strongest lions in the Pride Lands but Kion goes the untraditional way by calling his closest friends who customarily wouldn't have made the cut! Let's meet Kion's best friends, shall we?
Kion is the Fiercest. He possesses the Roar of the Elders, a magical gift that causes the lion spirits of the Pride Lands past to roar with him, making his roar powerful! This gift is traditionally given to the second born, with the last owner being Scar, who used it for evil, hence he lost the gift. His signature line is "Hevi Kabisa" or "Totally Intense" Swahili.
Bunga is the Bravest. He is a fearless honey badger and the adopted nephew of Timon and Pumbaa. He is adventurous and impulsive. He will put himself in harm's way in order to save his friends. His catchphrase is "Zuka Zama", which means "Get up, dive in" in Swahili.
Fuli is the Fastest. She is a confident cheetah. She is the Lion's Guard only female member and is loyal to her friends. Her catchphrase is "Huwezi" which means "You can't (catch me)" in Swahili!
Beshte is the Strongest. He's a happy-go-lucky, friendly and good spirited hippo. His catchphrase is "Twende Kiboko!" which means "Let's go, hippo!" in Swahili.
Ono is the Keenest of Sight. He is on intellectual egret. He has the keenest sight in the Pride Lands, as he can fly above the fight to scout out the situation and give directions. Ono is easy-going, friendly, brave, and a great team-player! His catchphrase is "Hapana!" which means "Oh no!" in Swahili.

Lion King is a Disney class. I think Lion Guard will be a classic as well and a series that will teach our kids a lot of lessons. The series is designed to convey positive lessons about teamwork, community, and diversity, as the Lion Guard learn to utilize their unique abilities to work together in each episode.
Catch The Lion Guard every Sunday 8:30AM starting on April 17!
Thank you Eon for having my little kiddos for the special screening as well as the water tumblers! They've been using it everyday!
