De’Longhi Launches PrimaDonna Elite

One of my dream kitchen appliance is a coffee machine, one big handsome machine! Our tiny kitchen is getting a makeover and a new coffee machine will be a great addition, diba BOS? :) De'Longhi recently launched their newest and most sophisticated machine to date, the PrimaDonna Elite. This the De'Longhi Multifry! It's a low-oil fryer and a multi-cooker! You can cook anything in this amazing kitchen appliance, from steak, salmon to sauces and even pizza!

Blimey! UK's #1 Costa Coffee is now in the Manila!

The British have invaded Manila! British coffee that is. Heehee! Costa Coffee, UK's #1 coffee chain is now in Manila! If you think the British only drink tea, you're wrong! It is a common misconception though. Costa Coffee aims to tell the world that the Brits love their coffee!

Costa Coffee was founded in 1971 by the Costa brothers, Bruno and Sergio. Their love for coffee led them to sell their product to local caterers and soon after, to open their very first café. The Costa brothers’ dream was to bring irresistible coffee and community spirit to the people of London and today to be the world's favorite coffee shop brand.

Costa Coffee opened its first branch in Eastwood Citywalk 1 last June 29 and a week before that, I was one of the firsts who were able to try their famous brews and tasty food.

Cakes, muffins, cupcakes, cheesecakes, sandwiches and freshly baked croissants. Sweet or salty? Take your pick!

I was with Didi and we couldn't decide which ones to get so we ordered what we both liked so we could share and try everything (well, almost everything heehee!).

I had the Flat White which was so good as is. No sugar needed! The Costa Brothers created their own unique blend of coffee, the Mocha Italia, a smooth, round but rich tastes, which is a combination of Arabica and Robusta coffee beans.

London Cheesecake which Y loved! It's creamy and not so sweet. My kind of cheesecake!

Tried their Iced Flat White too while Y had the Iced Chocolate. Every cup of coffee served is handmade by only the best baristas, rigoriously trained in various Costa Coffee Academies around the world.

Costa Coffee now has over 1,968 coffee shops in the UK and more than 1,247 coffee shops in 30 overseas markets. Costa Coffee will be opening next at Robinson's Ermita this month! It will also open branches at Tera Towers, Bonifacio Global City, and Robinson's Antipolo this 2015. And if you want to taste a cup of free Frostino Mocha Cream, just go to each store opening (from 2-4PM) and order with a British accent!

A&D Eats: Toby's Estate, Century City Mall

Two years ago, it was milk tea craze. Last year, it was ramen. This year, it's coffee! I prefer coffee over tea. It is my morning fuel. The BOS also prefers coffee and he had been wanting to try all these coffee places but he wasn't able to try Toby's yet. Booo! He was work kasi. :(

A lot of coffee shops are opening offering artisanal and specialty coffee and one of them is Toby's Estate Coffee Roasters.

Toby's Estate originated in Sydney, Australia pala. It currently has two shops here in Manila. One in Century City Mall where we went and another in Salcedo Village where it also serves food!

It was supposed to be dinner first before having coffee at Toby's Estate as we originally planned. But it was early for ramen so Y's Ninang G and had coffee first then we were later joined by Auntie S. I was meeting my college friends for our much needed chikahan.

I ordered a Latte, Ninang G had Cappuccino, and I ordered a Babyccino for the kiddos which was just milk topped with chocolate powder! Hihi!

The verdict? Ninang G and I agreed that the coffee is stronger than what you have in the neighborhood caffee shop. If you like coffee like me, you'll appreciate the taste. The Babyccino was okay, it's something you order so you child will get the "feel" of having coffee. Hehe! We want to go back with the hubby to the one in Salcedo Village so we can also try the food!
