It's Been A Crazy Crazy Two Weeks!

Well, it's actually been a crazy month! We still haven't found a new yaya/helper and although we are doing okay, I really could use a rest. But nooooo... there's no rest for this momma! It's Y's first quarterly exam, she's only in Kinder, but their lessons are what I study when I was in Grade 1. Kaloka! Tutoring her is like going back to school, my Mandarin is rusty but it's a good thing I still remember what I learned. But it also doesn't help when Y can be a bit stubborn and she told me her teacher told her to clean her ears daw (Eh ano pa ba ibig sabihin non? Hahaha! Chikahan galore sa seatmate kaya walang pumasok sa ears! LOLz)
Then I'm also preparing stocks for Paper Chic Studio because we have moved in into a new home! Wuhooooo! Paper Chic Studio will be available at Common Room! Paper Chic Studio has been on a hiatus ever since Y started going to school. Roma and Maan of PopJunkLove are the brainchild of this new concept store which houses 34 crafters in one shop! And I've been running around like a headless chicken fixing my stocks and thinking of how to "style" my shelf because honestly, I didn't think it would this hard! I'm cramming!!! Aaahhhh....
With Y's exam and fixing my inventory, sourcing for props and thinking of how to style my shelf, I cannot adult!!! Seriously, my multi-tasking skills is not working. It's either that or there's too much tasks and it's making me hard to multi-task. Ang labo na! Haha! This post is mostly babbling, I just need to let this out because it's really making me crazy!!!

The 3rd Mompreneur Summit: LIFE + BIZ is happening this Saturday!

Mompreneur Manila has been organizing The Mompreneur Summit since 2012. I attended the first summit (read about my experience here) and I learned so much! It helped me jumpstart my own business, boost my confidence, gained so much knowledge and became inspired from the successful entrepreneurs who spoke that day.

The 3rd Mompreneur Summit is happening this Saturday, January 31, 2015 at Edades Tower, Rockwell, Makati City.
This year's them is LIFE + BIZ: Finding the Right Mix. I need that in my life and biz now! To register, go to this link.

From Mompreneur Manila's website:
Mompreneurs are a class on its own, made up of women who are driven to succeed and go after her business goals while equally fueled with unceasing passion in leading an active and purposeful personal and family life. Mompreneurs are the type of entrepreneurs who have their lives integrated into business endeavors, making her needs quite unique and more complex.

With talks focused on successful work-life integration, money smarts, DIY PR, intentional branding, attendees will be able to gain more tools to maximize resources and potential for success. This year’s summit also brings to light success stories and testimonials of women entrepreneurs in different categories and industries, namely beauty, retail, food and fashion.

There's two great seminars for mompreneurs and business owners this weekend!

First is the Scaling Up Seminar organized by Rone of Mothering EarthlingsScaling Up is a seminar for mompreneurs who want to take their businesses to the next level. It's time to scale up and three professionals have been lined up to help with these matters at hand.
This seminar is perfect for me!!! But I won't be able to attend.

If you are on the same boat as me, I'm sure a lot are also going thru this phase of being stumped on how to expand your business, then register now: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1eYPvvaDU3CW1wTSKSI8CR93A0ltCizkTRXpl_zIho_s/viewform

Then on Saturday, there will be anotehr Mompreneur Meet Up at The Crib in Fun Ranch. The workshop is by Jackie Caniza where she will talk about how to "design" your business.
Through this workshop, we will help business owners and teams to view their businesses through a one-page framework that captures all the critical components of their business model. Whether it is to create an entirely new model or review and revise an existing one, this framework will help participants think about these components in a simple yet effective way. Most importantly, they will be able to clearly identify what makes them different.

This workshop is based on the book, Business Model Generation by Alexander Osterwalder and Yves Pigneur.

OBJECTIVES
At the end of the workshop, participants will be able to:
- Understand the basic components of the business model canvas
- Apply the model through company case studies
- Begin to draft their own business models with a key focus on the value proposition
- Begin to evaluate their business models against some innovation criteria

It's going to be a fun learning weekend!
