A&D Finds: Where To Buy Mandals and Birkenstock-inspired Sandals For Kids

Mandals and Birkenstock were the craze of 2014. Were you one of those who fell for this brouhaha? I am! And late last year, I've been on the lookout for a pair for both my kids.

First up, Birkenstock! I was able to check out Res Toe Run last November and saw Birkenstock for kids! I jumped up and down in excitement until I saw how much it was.
How cute are those Strawberry Printed Birkenstocks!
It was way out of the budget. Huhu! My heart was breaking as I put back those cute cute tiny Birks.

Then I chanced upon Florsheim Kids at SM Department Store. Price was pocket-friendly at Php1,500 or more a pair. But their smallest size is still big for R. Why does R had to have the cutest feet? Hihi! Didn't buy for Y anymore that time because she had so much shoes na.
When I went to the province last Christmas, I went to SM to have some me-time (read: shopping). And whenever I am at SM, I always make it a point to check out Sugar Babies and Tough Kids at the Shoe Section. You should do! They always have nice selections for kids plus it's comfy and really affordable.
None for boys sayang. But the search is not over!

And last but certainly not the least, Cotton On Kids! They probably have these mandals and Birkenstock-inspired sabdals but I only got to check it out last week. Price is okay too but sizes were broken na.
The search is not over! I've yet to check H&M Kids and I'm hoping Tough Kids will make one for boys! Do your kids own a pair? Share naman where you got them!

A&D Finds: Budget-Friendly Swimwear For The Whole Family

Summer is here and I'm sure the kids are super excited to hit the beach or the pool and swim the summer away! Last week, we had my pre-birthday getaway at the beach. It was my kids' first time at the beach so imagine how excited I am!
Part of that excitement was shopping for swimwear for the kids but what I didn't expect was how hard it was to find rashguards and boardshorts for kids and at a budget friendly prices! Eeeep! I am practical with things that will only be used for a short time or a season only especially when kids outgrow clothes so fast. That and/or I am a kuripot smart shopper! Heehee! One money saving tip I can give is always have a budget and stick to it!
I started looking for rashguard two weeks before our trip, this was mid-February and I tell you it was not easy! I checked Speedo and their SALE rack, nothing fits R plus it was over my budget so I checked Cotton On Kids which was suggested to me by some mommy friends.
Cotton On Kids loot for my sister. Rashguards are at Php799 thereabouts, boardshorts are at Php799 as well I think. Some are on SALE so check the sale rack first.

I bought these for my sister. They have a pool in their house and they're going to Boracay this summer, she'll get to maximize them. If you have the budget for these Cotton On Kids swimwear, then buy na! :)
More choices! Everything is so cute! Sadly, there's none for girls. I hope they'll have it in store soon!

Another friend mentioned Landmark, I never really shop at Landmark because I don't frequent Trinoma and when I go to Makati, I always go to SM naman. But over the course of two weeks of looking for swimwears, I was able to go to both Trinoma and Makati branches! O diba?!
Landmark Makati Great selection!
I was able to buy R's rashguards, BOS' boardshorts. I also bought my yaya two boardshorts at the "Bazaar" section at around Php150-Php180 each!!!
Got this for R at Landmark Trinoma. Also available in Makati. It's only Php180!!!
Boardshorts for the BOS! Left one is Php269.75 while the right one is Php209.75.

If your daughter or son likes Disney characters, it's what SM and Robinsons had last February. Sandbox had trunks and boardshorts, swimwear as well but no size for R.  But I was able to score super duper cute floral boardshorts for both Y and R. These are for girls but I bought it for R anyway.
My bebepies in their matching outfits! Sandbox Floral Boardshorts are Php169.75 each!

But the gold mine is in 168 Mall! I never thought I would be able to buy decent swimwear in Divisoria but I hit the jackpot! I spotted this store a few months back but never went in because I didn't need swimwear back then. I went back and scored rashguards for both Y and R. They also have bikinis and rashguards for ladies but it's free size only - for sexy ladies only!
Rashguards at Php200 each!
They got Carter's, Cotton On overruns, just to name a few. Rashguards are at Php200. There are also rashguard/bottoms sets for Php350. The downside is they only have what they have. Most are for toddlers, not much for Y. But I was happy with what I got! The store is in 168 Mall, Pasilio 2F but I forgot the stall number. Medyo nasa likod na siya, you won't miss it!
Enjoying the sand!

As for me, I had no plans of buying new boardshorts or swimsuit because I have two but when I tried on the older one, hindi na kasya! So I was happy when I was able to buy a swimsuit and boardshorts on sale at Cotton On! Sorry, no photo of me wearing them kasi baka mag crash ang mga gadgets niyo. Heehee!
Swimsuit and boardshorts at Php400 each.

I'm super happy with my purchases! There were times when I wanted to buy whatever was available kahit mahal because I really had a hard time looking but sabi nga patience is a virtue! I'm really glad I stuck to my budget. More stories about our beach trip in the next few days!

Have you bought your swimwears yet for this summer? I hope this post can help you somehow and please do share if you were able to score great bargains! You can also check Mothercare, Robinson's Department Store, Toys R Us, Greenhills for your swimwear needs!

I Am Cotton On, Are you? [Lucky Chinatown]

Last week Monday, I saw Cotton On Philippines tweet that their branch in Lucky Chinatown is opening this weekend, I was so excited! As in! :) That I retweeted their tweet without knowing they're holding a giveaway!
I only found out I won a Php500 discount coupon because of this nice lady @natsumi0011 tweeted me! Thank you!!! :)
At first I thought I wouldn't be able to go because of the traffic in Recto, but I'm glad the BOS let me went to Lucky Chinatown just for Cotton On. (Mwah BOS!) If there's such thing as flash shopping, that's what I did! I had around 20 minutes to do my shopping as we're going to meet my mom and achi at another mall.
So I made my way to Cotton On, claimed my Php500 discount coupon, flash browsed the store. Tried a couple of shorts and a top. Doesn't fit me :( So I browsed some more. Didn't really get to look around and take decent photos, I hope I can on my next visit! Hehe..
A lot of 2 for something
My very soshal hopia! Cotton On Hopia! They were giving hopia to those who purchased some stuff that day!
Here's my loot! Since I purchase 2 of these in HK in different style, I saw these and got it without trying it on anymore. I love love the "pyjama" fashion. So comfy! #mfostyle lang yan hehe! Can't wait to wear them!

Dressing Y Up!

It was a long weekend last weekend. Enjoyed it with my family staying home, enjoying the cool and rainy weather!

I was checking Y's clothes stash, ones that were gifted and haven't used yet. I put them on different zip locks arranged by their sizes (9 to 12 months, 12 to 18 months, and so on). I check them once a month to take out clothes that can fit Y already. At the same time I also check clothes that don't fit her anymore so I can keep them and make space for her drawer.

I took out some dresses and I found the Cotton On Ballerina dress/costume which was given to Y by one of my college barkada, Auntie S and Uncle F. I think it fits her already so we (yaya and me) on her, plus the Baby Gap shoesies that the BOS bought during Christmas! Her yaya said to put a headband.

So here she is... my life-sized doll! LOL!
Then the other day, we visited her Amma and some relatives who's here on a vacation. We dressed her up too! It's the first time she wore leggings. So cute! Bought them on sale in Gingersnaps!

So cute! I had fun dressing her up but she was getting irritated by the end. LOL! But nonetheless, I love the perks of having a baby girl! Magastos nga lang when she learns to love clothes, shoes, and shopping! Her face lights up when I open my closet, and mind you, I have a small closet and my clothes are normal. Haha! Matagal pa naman yun. For the mean time, I'll enjoy dressing you up!
