A&D's Holiday Guide: Holiday Finds at Robinson's Department Store

Robinson's Department Store is starting to grow on me. I've been there twice in two weeks. I'm liking their Home Section more and more, more than SM's.

I accompanied my sister the second time I went back and there's so much nice stuff for your kitchen and can be given as gifts for your loved ones this Christmas! If you're like me who likes to buy containers and jars in different shapes and sizes, then you should visit Robinson's Department Store asap!
Put in your homemade cookies in these jars and give them away to your friends! Colored bottles for your home, use them for water or juice when serving guests!
More jars in different shapes and sizes!
County Fair Drinking Jars
More drinking jars in different colors
More drinking jars!
My favorite: Mason Jar Salt and Pepper Shaker! I bought this right away! And this is the reason why I came back to Robinson's because my sister bought a lot of this as gifts! Very reasonable at Php149.75 only!
This is also cute! I forgot how much it was but it was less than Php200.
Bowl and Plate Sets. This was around Php200 plus. I love the prints!

For those who love entertaining and throwing parties and get togethers, there are big jars na din in Robinson's Department Store!
Get 1 jar for Php799.75 or 2 for Php999.75!
For your wine loving friends!
And for the tea lovers, trays and tea boxes!
Laser Cut Trays. So pretty!!!
More trays! I want to go back for that Yellow Chevron tray!
There's Laser Cut Boxes too! Perfect for little trinkets!
Chalkboards!

Check their throw pillow selections too and covers as well as their placemats, table covers! And I'm sure there's more pa now! If you got to find any good finds at other Robinson's malls, please let me know!!! All of these were taken two weekends ago at Robinson's Place Ermita.

Field Trip to Robinson's Magnolia

After reading and hearing so much about Robinson's Magnolia, me and the BOS had a free afternoon after a meeting, deliveries, and lunch with SoMoms, we headed our way to Robinson's Magnolia since we were already in the area.

Robinson's Magnolia is where the old Magnolia House used to be. I only have memories of the place but I know what it looks like as we passed by it every time we go Greenhills.

I love that the parking is brightly lighted unlike the other Robinsons malls. Ang ayoko lang is you have to pay for parking first inside the mall. Parang Ang hassle non!

But but but... I love the mall! It's the most soshal Robinson's mall! High ceiling, big spacious walk ways, at hindi nakakahilo ikutin (unlike the new soshal mall in this side of my town) hehe!
Yes, obviously late na tong post ko. Hehe!
One of the shops we went to was Gourdo's! It was their sale and I'm on the lookout for cake stands and cupcake stands. And for some I-don't-really-need-but-if-with-a-good-price-I-will-buy-it kitchen stuff!
Great deals at Gourdo's!
I also noticed some interesting stores!
I didn't know Aeropostale was brought in!
PJs Sleepwear! I want to go back and check this out!
We didn't had the chance to check out the restos outside. I want to go back for Thai Bistro and Yabu! We will surely be back here in the near future!

My Weekend Roundup

Saturday
Y had her scheduled pedia visit and monthly vaccine. She had her first flu vaccine yesterday. As usual, she didn't cry at all. She didn't even winced at all. Such a brave little girl, just like her mommy! Proud mommy! My mom said I was like that when I was a baby (I still am! Harhar!) I'm not afraid of needles!
All smiles after her vaccine. Parang walang nangyari!
That morning, she watched an episode of Barney. She just sat on her high chair. But being her makulit self, she got bored! So I just took her pictures.
That night, I cooked BOS some Fish and Chips (recipe from here). We both like Fish and Co's version. So I thought instead of eating out, I have some halibut fillet in the freezer, why not cook at home? Sorry, I don't have pictures. I was haggard and hungry after cooking that we just ate them all up! It's not as good as Fish and Co's but the BOS said he liked it. I was happy! Oh, I used lager beer (San Miguel Super Dry) for the batter instead of stout beer as I can't find any in the grocery!

Sunday
Today I woke up to a sleeping Y. Usually she wakes up first and wakes us up.
Chubby cheeks!!!
When I got home, took a bath, and played with Y. Here we were testing out the new play mat her Gwama got for her! Yay!

Today Gwakong requested that Y goes to the mall with him. Of course we said Yes! After lunch, we went to the nearest Robinsons. Feeling nostalgic again! Haha..
Y in Gingersnaps Dress (bought on sale!)
It was a short trip to the mall. Y was tired and sleeping after two hours so we decided to go home. She woke up when we got home. And here's our little tigress getting a massage from her papa. She likes it when we massage her legs LOL!
Papa, take your time massaging me while I watch my Barney.
She slept an hour after we gave her daily sponge bath.

What a weekend! It was all fun. I love every minute I spend with my family!

Dilemma Solved!

Remember my entry the other day? My dilemma on high chairs and booster chairs is O-V-E-R! But let me tell you first what I saw when I was searching the "perfect" high chair or booster seat.
I went to the mall last Monday during office break because I was really itching to buy a chair for Y already. Excited much? Initially, my plan was to buy a cheaper high chair, as long as it looks nice, sturdy, and doesn't look "cheap". Yes, I'm maarte. I like nice-looking things. LOL! There were a few choices, I didn't get to take pictures because I was in a rush. One kind can be converted to a toddler chair and table, I think it was Looney Tunes. Nothing I saw I liked. Even the Chicco one, I didn't like. Price range were from Php2,000 to Php6,000.

I think this costs around Php4,000. Hindi ko type!
Then I moved on to looking for a booster chair. The only brand that has booster chair in Robinson's Department Store was Safety 1st. I think of all brands, they are the only one that has more options.

I was decided already to get this one!
I was sold on buying this, as I have mentioned on my other post. I even asked the SA to take it out from the box so I can have a look. It's cute diba? It's only booster chair that has cushioned seat. I didn't buy it because I want to wait for a sale. Kahit 10% off lang ok na ako. But unfortunately there won't be any sale coming up but they have a ongoing promo, free oral care kit worth Php300 if you purchase worth Php2,000.

And then, I read Mommy Fleur's post that SM Baby Company is having a sale!
So yesterday, since I was on leave, after having my driver's license renewed, I went straight to SM. Excited much again? I was decided to get the pink booster seat. But still I went there with an open mind. When I got there, my eyes zoomed in to the big sign that says 50%! There were four strollers and one high chair! I got excited! LOL. The high chair is Graco! Who could go wrong with a Graco? I haven't heard any bad review, only raves from friends and friends of friends. They are sturdy. Original price was Php8,999.75, down to Php4,500! I got more excited. I want it! It has a few scratches here and there and a bit dirty. It was their last stock. But it was ok, 50% off it 50% off! I still checked the booster seat, baka it's on sale but it's not. Same promo with Robinson's lang. So I got the high chair! Yay!
Graco Contempo Grazia
When I got home, the excited mommy, ME, I took it out of the box and have Y try seating on it. Perfect! I think she liked it. Or ako lang haha! It's the same model of high chair that I saw and liked in Amazon. Different design lang. I'm so happy with my purchase! I had the high chair cleaned after of course.
Here's Y enjoying her chair. Reading her Curious George board book.
Dilemma Solved!
