Back To The Daily Grind!

No, I'm not back to work.

Y started school last week which means I'm back to waking up early. Like 5:45am early! My body is not used to waking up early anymore after a year of being a stay at home mom. Every morning (well, it's only been three days haha!) is a struggle. I wake up, get everything ready for Y (uniform, breakfast, baon) and get her ready! We have about 30-45 minutes to do everything before we leave the house so we can a parking slot near the school! So this is the life of a pre-school momma! I am writing this as I wait for her dismissal. Better be productive right?

So far, we're good in school. Ang hirap lang niya gisingin (nagmana sa tatay!). She didn't cry on her first day. Ako ang umiyak! She is still adjusting to her new environment, classmates and teachers. I stayed outside her classroom during her first 2 days, observing how she is in the classroom. She follows her teachers but I think she gets bored along the way and doesn't listen haha! I guess that's normal?
Plastic cover assignment!
I am looking forward to this new journey of ours. Sabi ko nga sa isang co-parent, we're also going back to school! Shucks. We're all anxiously looking forward (or scared?) when it's time for us to teach and tutor them Chinese subjects. We're also making a conscious effort to teach the kids how to speak in Fukien. I promise not to be a Tiger mom and apply what I've learned from Coach Pia from all the #BetterMe sessions I've attended. Good luck to us! And please grant me all the patience I need in this journey.

I am embracing this new adjustment to our lives! In 2 years, it will be R's turn naman. Waahhhhh! Time, please slow down naman! Hingal na hingal na ako kakahabol. Heehee! For now, I'm happy that Y likes school. Sana hindi mawala ang love niya for school.

And on that note, I am officially a pre-school momma!

Rio 2: R's First Movie

Not really the best idea... Hehe! I almost did not finish the movie because he was super kulit!
May halupasay drama. Hehe!
He sat down for about 15 minutes siguro then he started to go down and talking to the person below us. Haha! I had to entertain him with iPad :( Counted pa din as milestone? Hehehe
So cute and so behaved while waiting. Bored out ata siya sa movie house. Hehe!

So lesson learned. We will try again when he turns three or four. Y's first movie was Frozen last December so maybe we'll take shoti when he's about Y's age now.
We still enjoyed the movie though. But mas gust ko story ng Rio, the first one.

Happy 1st Birthday, R!

Grabe ang bilis! I still remember last year around this time, I (thought I) was having gas pains. My scheduled CS was not for another 4 days. When I called my OB, she immediately told me to go to the hospital. Good thing I did because I was in labor and 2cm dialated already! Gaaah!

And today he turns 1! He's our little bundle of joy. I never thought I could love another child until I gave birth to R. He's very much like his papa, serious and quiet. But he smiles and starts to laugh, oh how cute he is! Not that he's not cute when he's serious ha.
I'm glad that Y is no longer jealous of R. Of course they still fight over toys. They love each other to bits. R likes to wake up his achi whenever she's asleep. Hihi.
Today also marks our first year of exclusively breastfeeding! Yay! This is both a milestone for me and R. No formula milk! Yipeee! I plan to continue breastfeed but will also transition R to fresh milk.
We had a party last Sunday for R. I hope I find the time to blog about it because I had so much fun planning!

We're spending the day at a mall. Maybe go to the toy store and treat the kids to toys and eat good food in celebration of R's birthday! Tomorrow, we'll spend it in Fun Farm!

Happy Birthday Shoti! Mwahhhhhh!

Our 7-Month Old Siopao!

Our little baby siopao turned 7 months old last Thursday! Oh how time flies noh? Parang kelan lang I was writing about him turning 6 months old!
He now can sit up on his own, stands up while holding on to his playpen rails. Yes, he stands up at 7 months! I think that's early. He is teething too! I can see milk caps on his lower gums.
Baby boy, you're growing too fast! Slow down naman ng konti. Baka magsalita ka na pag 8 months ka na. Wag naman!

Mwah!

This Boy Is Growing Up Too Fast!

My little boy will be 6 months old next week (we're still exclusively breastfeeding and will start solids na! wheee!), can't believe it's been 6 months since I gave birth (read: bakit mataba pa din ako? Hahahaha).
I think this boy is advanced for his age (or so this mom would like to think). He first rolled over just a day before he turned 4 months old. He's very malikot for one. I thought Y was malikot na when she was his same age, hindi pala! His laugh is cute, he rolls all over the bed, he nurses like a champion! Oh I miss him! He's long and lean for his age and boy he has strong legs!!!
He's been doing this since he was 5 months old. He moves like a worm. Gumagapang ng pasubsob sa bed, that's why his face sometimes is all red from all the rubbing and makes his booger come out of his small nose wahahahaha!
Here's our little boss when we went out last Sunday night. Hihi so cute!
Hay, I can't believe you'll be 6 months na my little siopao. Can't wait for you start eating solids! Exciting times!
Papa, can I eat this?

Y's List of Words

Three months ago, I was worried that Y's vocabulary was limited. She blabbers a lot but no clear words yet. I was worried she's delayed. Well, some kids may be more advanced than her but I don't want to pressure her.

Fast forward now, at 22 months, she knows quite a lot of words, I think. She's quick to learn new words so we're careful at what we say in front of her. She understands what we say to her, nauutusan na din, but she's stubborn sometimes.

Here's what I can remember:
Papa
Mommy
Shoti
Icki - Yukie, her name
Yaya
Jijing - Jinky, our helper
A-ee - she calls her a-ee and sa-ee the same
Binbinya - Binbin, her cousin

Mig - malamig

Mimi - Mickey/Minnie Mouse
Bolbos - pulbos
Ayaw, Ayaw ko

Aper - diaper

Ipik - Ipit
Ahya - our neighbor
Achi - our neighbor
Abbie

Dirty
Shoes
Ma-ma - workers/old men

Looking forward to more words and when she starts speaking in phrases and sentences!

My Little Flower Girl *Proud Mommy Moment*

Warning: A very photo heavy post!

I'm a proud mommy!

Last January 15, my shobe and BIL had their church wedding. Exactly one year after their civil wedding, in short, they wed on their first wedding anniversary! :) My sister was a stunning bride! Veejay Floresca made a very beautiful gown!

But the highlight of the wedding (for me and the BOS), Y was a flower girl!!! When she turned 1, I was worried that she was not walking on her own yet. By October, she was walking na and I was so happy! The next thing I worried about is, would Y walk down the aisle and not cry or be carried by me or her papa. When we got to the church, there were a lot of guests already. Dinudumog na si Y ng mga pinsan ko and other relatives. I had to get her away from the crowd because she's not used to it. Baka mabigla and she won't walk. Good thing I did that!

Well, she walked the aisle (with me)!!! I have to make uto pa. I told her there's a Hello Kitty at the end of the aisle. Bilis kausap! She won't hold her flower at first so I had her carry her "bag" din while walking the aisle. She's so cute in her little gown! I don't have photos of her while walking the aisle, but I have photos before the ceremony started.
Gown by Veejay Floresca; Hair Clip from Forever21; Silver Toms as her shoes
Best Man
I'm so proud of my baby girl! So, if anyone is getting married soon, I'm volunteering Y to be the flower girl! LOL!

And here's some more photos!

Here's Y waiting in the car before the ceremony, I was coming from the hotel while the BOS and Y came from the house. They were supposed to go to the hotel in the morning too but I told them to stay home so Y could nap in the morning.
Photos during the ceremony. Her uncles were playing with her.
And photos during reception!
That's all! Hope to get photos from shobe! I wanna see photos of her walking the aisle!

Four Days To Go...

Before my shobe's wedding! I'm no longer the matron of honor, because I got pregnant. So I had to be replaced! May pamahiin pa lang ganon? Anyways, it's fine with me because I no longer had to lose weight to fit into a dress, I can be as fat as I want because I'm allowed to be because I'm pregnant! Right?!

We bought coat, pants, shirt and shoes for the BOS. It's his first time to wear anything formal. Rakista kasi! Mas mahal pa ang outfit niya compare to mine! Haha! Oh, he needs a haircut pala! I bought a new dress too, very very cheap formal dress! And since I can't wear heels, I bought new sandals too! As in flat sandals. My mom won't let me wear even kitten heels. But it's fine, para naman sakin! I have to get my eyebrows groomed and have a mani/pedi.

But the most special thing happening is... Y will be a flower girl! Yay! Excited mommy! I hope Y will walk down the aisle (sans me, but I doubt that she will, but we're crossing our fingers!). She doesn't like big crowds so I hope hindi siya dumugin ng mga tao or else she'll just cry the whole time. I want her to be cute as she can be!

Four days to go!

Milestone! Yay!

Last Saturday, dumapa na mag-isa si Y! Yay!

It happened all of a sudden that I was so shocked! Jaw-dropping shocked! But I was also so happy! A milestone! woohooo!

Next to look out: crawling! :D

And she'll be five months next Sunday!

You're growing up so fast, Y!
