Chips Ahoy! Ice Cream Creations Launch

About a month ago, Y and I went to Mall Of Asia for Chips Ahoy!'s Ice Cream Creations launch! It was such a fun event it felt like we were in a birthday party!
There's game booths, photo booth, key chain making, face painting, balloon twisting, and more! I loved the Chips Ahoy! themed booths! We earn Chips Ahoy! money every time we play, win or lose.
There's Cookie Puzzle and shooting the ball to the elephant's mouth!

One of the best booths which Y and I both enjoyed was the Create Your Own Ice Cream Sandwich booth!
They gave us the ice cream sandwich...
Then you roll your ice cream sandwich to any or all of these toppings...
Et voila! It's so yummy!!! I keep on telling Y that we'll do this at home.

We were also treated to a magic show and a exhibition by the Teng brothers!
There was a short program and people got to join games and win more Chips Ahoy! money. I was in line with Y for the face painting so we didn't get to join any games.
It feels like we're also in a carnival!
There was also a magic show which the kids and kids at heart enjoyed!
We were in line here for an hour!
Then the Ten Brothers came out to impress us with their basketball skills! Ang dami nilang fans ha!
I'm Peppa Pig! Oink! Thank you Chips Ahoy! for a very delightful afternoon! She loved her Peppa Pig face paint!

If you haven't tried any of Chips Ahoy! Ice Cream Creations, go to your nearest grocery and try all flavors!
Dulce De Leche, Root Beer Float, and Mint Chocolate Chip!

A&D Eats: Gavino's Japanese Donuts

When I was pregnant with Y, I loved eating donuts as in I have it everyday for merienda. And that love for donuts continued even after I gave birth to her. I actually wanted donuts as my first meal after giving birth. Haha! Well, it didn't happen.
Have you tried Gavino's Donuts? OMG! If you haven't, you are missing out a lot!

Andrew and Michelle Que always look for the best snacks whenever they're abroad. One of their favorites were the chewy mochi donuts found in Japan, Taiwan and China. I've tasted some too from my trips to Taiwan and it's yummy! So happy that the Que's perfected their donuts and launched it a year later, Gavino's Japanese Donuts, named after their son, Gavin.
I first learned and tasted Gavino's was at my god daughter's birthday. They served it as a part of their dessert buffet! It was the red velvet mochi balls. It was yummy! So when Gavino's sent a box of their donuts last Mother's Day, I was one happy momma!
Thank you for the flowers and this box of Gavino's goodies!
My super favorite is the Choco Almonds!
That chocolate mochi balls is so good!

Here's a list of flavors of Gavino's Donuts Mochi Rings and Mochi Balls, as well their store branches!

Gavino's Price Points. Not bad na!

Some of their branches offer coffee and milk tea! I didn't know that! I must merienda in a Gavino's cafe one of these days! With the summer heat, I always need a cold drink in the middle of the day!
Perfect, just perfect!

A&D Eats: The Cake Club, Bonifacio Centrale

After having a very sumptuous lunch at Sariwon Korean Barbeque (read more about it here), I wanted to have dessert and coffee. #thisiswhyimfat I really wanted to have Choco Yema cupcake at Slice but I already had it Monday that week then I remembered I've heard good reviews about The Cake Club!

We sat down and looked at the menu and I couldn't decide what to get! We asked the server what's good and just got 3 cakes to share with everyone. We also had coffee but forgot the names. Sorry!
Guia Cheesecake, Chocolate Cake and Baked Cheesecake

I want to go back for their ensaymada!!!

A&D Eats: Golden Spoon Frozen Yogurt, Ayala Triangle

Finally got to have a taste of Golden Spoon last December while waiting for the light show at Ayala Triangle.

I wanted something sweet and so did Y so it was perfect timing!

Golden Spoon is a corner shop at Ayala Triangle. It's a small shop with four tables and comfortable couches but you can always opt to have your ice cream outside al fresco which we did!
There are two choices on how you want your frozen yogurt, Artist or Concierge. Artist is basically DIY/MYO yogurt and toppings while concierge is they'll be the one to put the yogurt and toppings. We picked artist and the smallest size which is Cupful (Php199). A bit pricey for a cup of yogurt, IMHO. You can mix all of the flavors you want!
Yogurt flavors for that day: Old-Fashioned Vanilla, Belgian Chocolate, St. Patrick's Mint, Black Cherry, Iced Cafe de Leche and Simply Tart.

And for the toppings! It was hard to choose. I wanted to put everything (para masulit ko ang Php199)!!! They got 30 or more toppings to choose from!
And here's our cupful of yogurt goodness and toppings.
We love ice cream!
Verdict? It was good. Yogurt was smooth and creamy. It tastes more like ice cream than frozen yogurt which is still yummy! It melts fast nga lang. Will I eat another cup of Golden Spoon? Maybe.

Chez Karine Bakery

After months of planning of going to Serenda to try Chez Karine, we finally did last Sunday! My only booboo was I forgot to bring my camera! So the photos from my iPhone 3GS (I badly need an upgrade!) don't do justice to how good their macarons and puddings are!

After dropping off some things and having dinner at McDo (to save so we can have some nice dessert, ahihihi) we headed our way to Serendra to finally satisfy our sweet teeth!

Chez Karine is just beside Sonja's Cupcakes so it's not hard to find. It's a small store, there's a counter and a few stools inside, more tables and chair outside.

When it was time for me to order, I had a hard time choosing flavors! I got the box of 7 (Php350), hmmm.. let me see if I remember what flavor we got.. Salted Caramel, Dark Chocolate, Pistachio, Matcha Green Tea, Early Grey, Peanut Butter and Coffee! It was all so yummy!!!
Here's their cute menu!

Can't decide which ones to get!\

There's the pudding on the left side!

Pudding!
I also ordered Vanilla Royal Pudding and Muscuvado Royal Pudding at Php100 each. Y loved the vanilla one. I love it too! I want to go back and try their Panna Cotta which is also at Php100 each! And to go with our dessert, I ordered 2 Americanos for me (decaf) and the BOS.

Y enjoying the pudding!
Then we both had a macaron each to try! I had the chocolate while the BOS had the salted caramel. Both are good! Perfect with our Americanos!
Very cute packaging!
While we're all busy eating our macarons and pudding, the little siopao is busy eating his little fingers.
It was a very chill Sunday night. I loved that night. :) I want to go back and eat more of their pudding and try their panna cotta!
Afternoon snack at home! Yum!
The next time we visit, I should really bring a proper camera! I should bring my camera everywhere we go pala dapat!

There are holiday sets available for gift giving! I love receiving food as present (PG ang peg), a bag full of pudding or a box of macarons would be a nice gift to receive this holiday season!
14 pc. gift box - P850
21 pc. gift box - P1200
Mix and match Royal Pudding, panna cotta, and macarons in a cute insulated bag.
