Christmas Wishlist 2012

Since everyone is making one, gaya-gaya lang ang peg. I don't think I made a list last year or the year before. So I'm going to make a list this year! (*ahem* BOS *ahem*)

I'm trying to revive an old hobby of mine which is photography! And since it's not always that I can hire a photographer (Hi EJ! Hi Ginger!) to do my product shots, I think I need (emphasize on the NEED) to get a nice camera for Paper Chic Studio and so I can take nice photos of my kids too! Hit two birds with one stone diba?

I want a new phone too! My iPhone 3GS will be 3 years old this month, although it's still working well (sans the speakers hehe), I need an upgrade! This might happen I think. With the new iPhone 5 coming out and the good and attractive Unli Data Plans by the two networks, I'm really excited to get one! Sana soon!

Of course, my list wouldn't be complete without shoes and bags! I'm still a girl you know! I'm looking for a small to medium sized body bag that I can use for when running errands. I noticed I have big bags and big bags tend to get heavy! I need something that can fit my wallet, phone and keys. I wish I can buy a signature bag but maybe not right now. Pag mayaman na ako! CHOZ.

A&D's Early Christmas Shopping Guide

I don't know about you, but I'm pretty excited about Christmas this year! And this year I want to shop early for Christmas gifts. I don't want to cram again and buy gifts at the last minute (as I always do every Christmas hehe). I like to put a lot of thought on what to give and not just buy what's "uso". :) I came up with a list and I thought I'd share it with you!

Here's A&D's Christmas mini gift guide for your mommy friends, your kids, your inaanaks and pamangkins!

1. Wonderworld Toys
What I like about Wonderworld Toys that it is wooden! As a mom, I would like my kids to play with more "natural" and earth-friendly toys and (try to) reduce plastic toys (as much as I can) which may be harmful to them. My Zalora Shopping Experience

It's been 2 months since I won the 'My Zalora Wishlist' contest, got my prize (4 sets of vouchers) and I've redeemed two all of them already. I drafted this post 2 weeks after ordering but I've decided to wait until I've used up all of my vouchers.

What can I say? I love shopping at Zalora! I've been checking their site everyday since I got my vouchers, looking for things I fancy and putting them in my wish list (which is still buggy at times). They have new arrivals every week which makes it hard for me to pick what I want to buy!

I've shopped online many times, from multiply sites to facebook to many other online stores but I think Zalora is the first online shopping site in the Philippines that has a good working system. IMO ha.. I haven't heard a bad comment about them yet, or I could be wrong.

Ok, let's break it down, shall we? (Disclaimer: I'm a programmer/analyst by profession but I haven't handled anything web-based nor have I done QA on web-based systems so this is just an honest observation.)

On the technical side, it's still buggy. Here's what I noticed:

- Not everything is listed on their "Brands" list. 

- I can't view my wish list (last month). Wish list is still needs fixing.

- Shopping cart items can's be saved, it would nice not to put everything all over again in my cart everytime I login.

- Not all new arrivals are shown in the "New Arrivals" section

- It's not easy to browse the items, sometimes what is shown in page 1 is shown again in another page.

- It would be nice to have a more detailed description of the items (e.g. washing instruction, material used, etc.).

- Items to be returned sometimes takes time for them to pick up.

What I like? It's a one-stop shop! For moms like me and for someone who almost doesn't have the time to go to malls and shop or buy what I need, an online shop like Zalora is heaven-sent!

- I like their COD payment option! No need for me to go to the bank. Tamad ako maglakad. Haha!

- I love the packaging! (It used to be in a box, now it comes with a paper bag seen above)

Mommy Finds: Cuzo Carla Foldable Tote

I've been looking for a nice bag that's roomy and fashionable that can double as a baby bag. I've been wanting a Dwell Studio Madison Bag but it's out of the budget right now so I have to find a more affordable one.

Sometimes, I use my Michael Kors canvas bag but it's a bit big and it has no shape. Sometimes it's hard to find what you need inside the bag.

I first saw this at Shop Crazy. I badly want a new bag so I went retail therapy at Zalora at bought this.

It is about the same size of a Longchamp medium sized tote. It's made of nylon with leather trims and straps and it's lightweight!

It has a top handle and a removable body strap! Mommy approved!

I used this the first time two weeks ago to a shoot (Naks! Will post more of that!) and since I'm bringing the baby with me and no yaya yet, I put his stuff in my bag. (Y's stuff is in her own diaper bag which the yaya carries).

What's inside: changing pad; Manila Baby Shop's wet bag where I put R's extra clothes, diapers, and wipes; notebook; Dwell Studio pouch for my wallet, phone, and keys 

See?! It's roomy enough to put more stuff in it! This is really a great buy! I can also use this for work or a day out with my friends. It's a very versatile bag and for only Php1,500.
