Raizo is Two!

Last week, my little munchkin turned two! Ay how time flies so fast! Parang kelan lang he just turned one, now he's two na! And so very makulit!
This is a week before his birthday. He loves dogs! Sometimes ako na ang takot baka siya ang kagatin!

I'm thankful and grateful everyday that I'm her mom. He gives us so much joy. He's our chillax baby turned tornado hehehe! He's my sweetest boy and I hope we'll be able to raise him well. To be a good man, a good shoti, protect achi all the time, a gentleman, and to be best he could ever be.
This is R during his first birthday party!

For his second birthday, we chose to spend it very simple. A simple surprise in the morning which I ony thought of around midnight hehe, blowing of his birthday cake, and a day out with close friends.

I bought letter balloons in Divisoria, which costs Php20-25 per letter depending on which store you buy. Ang advice ko, get 2-3 extra per letter you need kasi ang bilis pumutok! So the letter balloons didn't make it to the next morning because I inflated them the night before.
That R got torn after an hour. Huhu! Too much hangin?

So I had to think of another surprise! Good thing I kept a pack of balloons from Y's birthday last year. (Must buy another pack for emergencies, haha!) and I looked for ideas in Pinterest!
Take note of the time 1:10AM na! Hehe!

This gave me an idea. This won't really work kasi hindi niya abot ang door knob. So I blew up all the balloons and made balloon drops. I woke up early the next day because I was so sleepy na from blowing up the balloons haha!
Tied the balloons to baker's twine and stuck washi tape at the end.
R was sleepy pa when I opened the door haha! But he immediately pulled the green balloon! His favorite color!
Achi helped me with the balloons but she enjoyed more playing with the balloons!

And after all the balloon action, they had thri breakfast, took a bath and when they're all mabango na! We sang Happy Birthday to R! He had been practicing his blowing of candle for a week na! Hahaha!
Happy Birthday My Love!

We were supposed to go to Fun Farm but it rained so we stayed in Manila and had a play date in Kidzville  with Calie, Cassie and Cullen then we had Bono Gelato after!
He loved the kitchen and grocery play area!
I felt like I went to the gym after all the running around!
Oh fun swimming in plastic balls! I didn't have photos na with the slide. But he enjoyed going the slide! Hehe!
Bagsak on the way home! Hahaha!

R had the time of his life! He didn;t want to leave but it was time for us to leave na. I promise to take them to Active Fun naman next time. Good luck to me! Hehehe!

Happy happy birthday, Raizo! Papa, Mommy and Achi loves you so much!

DIY Birthday Cake Toppers

I love DIYs! If I only have more time, I would do more! It's so fun, therapeutic and fulfilling to make DIYs! :) Plus it's really pocket-friendly too! I think this topper costs less than Php50!

Here's a close-up of what I did for Y's birthday! I really had fun cutting the buses and Pororo kahit ang sumakit mata at kamay ko kakagupit sa kanila! I had fun taking photos too that the icing on the donuts are melting na! Haha!
Wag na pansinin ang magulo naming bahay!
I really love how the birthday donuts turned out. I wish I had a photo with a cleaner background hehe!

Then the Pororo, Eddy, and Crong toppers are bath toys which I bought at Sulit for Php450 + 50 shipping. It has 2 sets, I picked this one. The other one is Pororo, Petty and Loopy!
I love it! :)

I still have a few DIYs I want to do! I'm just waiting for some of my stuff to arrive from the US! Yay!

Y's 2nd Birthday

For Y's 2nd birthday, I ditched doing the party. A small party lang naman but I got lazy. LOL Bad mommy! I didn't have time to plan last month. I gave birth, tending to the newborn, and tired. By the time I wanted to do the party, I had no time na. Since Y's birthday and my brother's birthday is just 3 days apart, I told my mom that we just have a joint birthday celebration on the 9th, which is my shoti's birthday!

Y's Pre-Birthday Getaway: Mr. Moo's Your Ultimate Milk Planet

Our last stop before leaving Tagaytay last Sunday was Mr. Moo's! We saw a couple of Mr. Moo's store on our way up so I told the BOS that I want to buy milk on Sunday on the way to Manila.
When we got to the hotel after dinner Saturday, I tweeted and searched for reviews online what are the recommended products to buy. A few tweeted me to buy a few only because it spoils agad so you have to keep it chilled. Good thing our cars always have in the trunk. A lesson learned when we have to buy meat or dairy ng biglaan.

There are 2 stores on the highway, we went to the one on our way back to Manila. It's a small store lang. It took me awhile to order because I can't decide which one to get.

Here's their menu...

Y's Pre-Birthday Getaway: Ilog Maria Honeybee Farm

I first read about Ilog Maria products thru Jenny Ong. That spiked my curiosity about their products and I want to see it for myself. So when I planned our itinerary, I made sure to include Ilog Maria.

As the name suggests it, Ilog Maria is a bee farm. You can tour the farm for a minimal fee and there's also a museum that you can visit. Since it was rainy weekend, we didn't avail of the tour anymore, plus Y was sick already so my main purpose was to visit their store.

Ilog Maria is located at Silang, Cavite. It's around 15-20 minutes drive from Taal Vista. I thought it was going to be a short drive, hindi pala. I downloaded the map from their website (click here) to make sure we won't get lost. From the Tagaytay circle, it's on your right side. Watch out for a blue/yellow sign on the road.

Read Part 1 here.

So we turned around and went back to the hotel. And since we got nothing to do, and I was a bit hungry, we decided to hang out and eat merienda at Lobby Lounge.

But before that, hubby and I checked out their viewing deck while Y and R were at the Kid's Corner with the yaya.
This is the hotel from the viewing deck
It was a very gloomy and wet weekend!

Y's Pre-Birthday Getaway: Taal Vista Hotel Part 1

For our weekend getaway, we chose to stay at Taal Vista Hotel. Last week, the BOS and I were discussing what to do on Y's birthday but we didn't agree on anything until the BOS told me to book a room in Tagaytay. A very spontaneous decision! The BOS was checking their website for available promos at biglang nagyaya for Y's birthday. We availed one of their promos (forgot what is was) and booked us a Deluxe Room with king-sized bed.

Usual check-in time is 2PM but we were running late because we stopped by Nuvali pa. I called them up and informed them that we will arrive around 3:30PM, they didn't mind naman. Check-in was a breeze. My only complain was our room is so faarrrrrr... we were given a room at their new wing and we had to walk so far.

Y's Pre-Birthday Getaway: Fish Feeding at Nuvali

One of the activities I had planned for Y was fish feeding at Nuvali. We went there after our lunch at Kanin Club (read about it here).

We didn't get to roam around because of the bipolar weather. When we arrived, it was a bit gloomy already so we went straight to the fish pond. I was able to take a few photos.

Y was so ecstatic when she saw the fishes, which she calls "sish". The BOS bought a bag of fish food which costs Php15.
The BOS taught Y how to throw the fish food. Ang bilis naubos! Y didn't want to leave haha! So I asked the BOS to buy another bag. Php30 worth of happiness for the toddler!

Her second bag of feeds
Here's the booth where you buy the fish food and tickets to the boat ride and bike rental. If the weather wasn't so bad, we might have taken the boat ride plus we had a baby, I'm not sure if they allowed babies on the boat.
We took a few family pictures then we left. It rained by the time we left!
Boardwalk?
I want to come back to try the boat, the bike, the outlet stores and also try out some restaurants there! Maybe a family trip with my sisters and their families?!

Y's Pre-Birthday Getaway: Kanin Club, Paseo de Sta. Rosa

Right before our trip, I was already searching for restaurants that we can try in Paseo de Sta. Rosa, Nuvali and Tagaytay. This was our first family out of town trip so I was really really excited!

First stop: Kanin Club! I've been hearing a lot about Kanin Club so our first stop and first meal was at Kanin Club, Paseo de Sta. Rosa! We arrived there around 12nn, I was a bit worried that the restaurant would be full, and as it turns out, it was full. But there were available tables at the al fresco area so we opted to sit outside, it wasn't hot so it was ok until the table at the back started smoking.. Eeeep! Wrong move for us to sit outside!

I was with 2 kids so I asked the waiter to move us inside when there's an available table. After 3 minutes, may table na! Yay! It was a busy lunch hour, but the waiters attended to us when we need something. *They didn't have any highchairs for kids. I've been encountering this with a few restaurants. Why?
Restaurant interiors..
And here's what we ordered! Food porn for you! Don't tell me I didn't warn you!
Homemade Iced Tea which tastes like Wendy's Iced Tea
Nilagang Tadyang ng Baka
Aligue Rice
Crispy Dinuguan. Love this dish!
Seafood Kare-Kare
Everything is yummy! Filipino food I think is one of my comfort food! I really enjoyed eating, as in! I ate so much rice. And I still want to eat more and
I wanted to try their turon dessert pa but didn't anymore because I was so full! I can always eat again at their Makati branch. I didn't know na meron na pala here in Manila! :) Hubby, let's go! Haha...
